Establishes an intravenous or intraosseous line in a peripheral vein and administer any intravenous solution approved by the Board of Medical Examiners for use by EMT-Ps.
Obtains blood for laboratory analysis
Administers parenterally, orally, sublingual, or topically any of the drugs approved by the Board of Medical Examiners for use by EMT-Ps
Performs pulmonary ventilation by means of an endotracheal tube and/or perform cricothyrotomy for relief of upper airway obstruction.
Performs defibrillation or cardioversion
Uses gas-powered or hand-powered nebulizers
Decompress a tension pneumothorax by use of a catheter-flutter-valve device.
Uses positive end expiratory pressure respirators
Performs gastric suction by intubation
Performs urinary catheterization
Performs external cardiac pacing
Administer intravenous medications
Establishes an intravenous or intraosseous line in a peripheral vein
Administer any intravenous solution
Administer drugs, orally or by injection, or perform intravenous procedures
Pulmonary ventilation by means of an endotracheal tube
Administer appropriate cardiac drugs prior to contacting the sponsor hospital
Ability to perform the following procedures as the situation requires
Patient assessment;
Basic life support techniques in accordance with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross including airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Treatment for shock
Bandaging and dressing soft tissue injuries
Application of military anti-shock trousers
Splinting fractures and dislocations
Treatment of injuries to the head, face, eye, neck, and spine
Treatment of injuries to the chest, abdomen and genitalia
Provision of basic life support for medical injuries
Assisting in normal and abnormal childbirth
Treatment of injuries as a result of exposure to heat and cold
Treatment of burns
Lifting and moving patients for transfer to a medical facility
Extrication of patients from confined areas
