    • Based on the following evaluation points: Building and site plans. Jobsite existing hazards and exit routes. The safety implications of proposed testing procedures and contingencies. Review of existing site evacuation plans. Prepare a safety plan which includes all communication and EH&S considerations. Instruct the work team on this plan.
    • Prepare a complex lockout/tagout in accordance with company and client requirements including at least but not limited to the following: Identify all sources of energy, including stored energy. Identify all potential back- feeds. Verification of the absences of voltage. Affix personal protective grounds.   Brief all team members and ensure strict compliance to NFPA 70E
    • Demonstrate the ability to evaluate and confirm existing switching  procedures. •     Read and interpret system switching procedures. •     Determine the adequacy of procedures for intended isolation. •     Verify a switching device’s position. •     Verify that a switching procedure is complete. Verify the lack of potential in isolated area.
    • Demonstrate the ability to develop switching procedures. •     Identify the switching devices to be operated. •     Define the sequence of operation. Write out switching procedures in accordance with electrical schematics.
    • Evaluate Electrical Hazards including arc flash and electrical shock and apply appropriate practices from NFPA 70E.
    • Demonstrate the ability to apply advanced AC/DC theory in practical applications involving three phase power and impedance components
    • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of digital theory including computer control systems including DCS, PLC, and SCADA
