  • Safety
    • Demonstrating familiarity with machine manual and safety instructions, OSHA requirements; complying with company safety practices and procedures
    • Using built-in safety devices such as interlock
    • Wearing personal protection devices such as safety glasses and hearing protection
    • Insuring that all tooling is secured properly before start-up
    • Closing covers prior to operating machine
    • Observing safe and proper environmental handling of stock materials and fluids such as coolants
    • Maintaining clean, neat and safe work area
  • Material Handling
    • Coordinates material delivery from silo truck by: ensuring material is accepted by lab, ensuring the truck is hooked to correct silo properly, completing necessary paperwork. (silo lot # form)
    • Determine material for next job by checking shop order (type of material, SAP #, amount of material required to finish order)
    • Troubleshoot when necessary by coordinating with processing and maintenance
    • Check levels of material in all operating bins by visual inspection
    • Determine what materials were ordered on previous shift by pulling order report or consulting with coworker on previous shift.
    • Ensure all scrap material is recorded by completing scrap material sheet.
    • Ensures all scrap material is properly recorded by reviewing label on bin and comparing with material in the bin
    • Enters orders and selecting appropriate fields and entering required information.
    • Follows proper protocol for each job function by referring to work instructions when needed.
    • Monitor alarms by reviewing information
    • Monitor operation by watching and by listening for any recognizable issues.
    • Verify and Update lot numbers by checking lot # log in material book when needed.
    • Verify that each bin is properly labeled by inspecting each label on each bin
    • Collects parts to be recycled by removing red bins with forklift and delivering the bins to the correct department.
    • Records all scrap materials which were not previously recorded on bin label by writing the information on the label and attaching it to the bin

    • Conduct preventative maintenance when necessary
