  • Managing Daily Operations In Quality Improvement
    • Suggest and/or initiates quality improvement studies and follow up.
    • Consult on projects for improvement.
    • Collect data, completing various audits and summarizing results and assists others to do so.
    • Assist in development of improvement plans, testing ideas and provides direction to others working with quality initiatives.
    • Respond to complaints about quality in a timely manner and implements plan for improvement.
    • Formulate summary reports from data analysis and assists others to do so.
    • Prioritize quality improvement initiatives and prepares and provides report to Quality Assessment (QA) Committee.

    • Act as liaison between quality groups and/or committees.
    • Provide individuals and/or teams with direction, encouraging, teamwork and collaboration.
    • Provide consultation to individual and/or quality teams as needed.
    • Delegate, monitor and direct assignments for quality teams or individuals completing focus audits in collaboration with appropriate supervisors and/or the administrator.
  • Managing Resources (supplies, equipment, staff, time)
    • Update staff on changes in work or workplace related to quality improvement activities.
    • Plan and organizes work to ensure timely task completion and work flow.
    • Make sound, timely decisions with consideration of ramifications.
    • Analyze issues, prioritize problems and involve appropriate individuals to select plan for resolution, anticipating outcomes and managing consequences.
    • Develop and maintain department budget efficiently.
  • Interpersonal Relations (peers, other departments, families, subordinates, physicians)
    • Provide formal and informal recognition and rewards for employees for positive performance and improvements.
    • Participate in providing instruction to enhance on the job learning.
    • Collaborate with others in developing improvement plans and analyzing process variation.
    • Initiate improvement plans needed and supports staff through training and follows up on progress and completion.
    • Provide recognition to employees that help to initiate organizational improvement.
    • Encourage employees to take on new challenges and offer ideas.
