Locates and identifies all components of the CNC machine, including all equipment, operator interfaces, tooling, perimeter guarding, safety devices, etc.
Understands and practices all safety considerations related to operating all CNC equipment
Demonstrates the proper power-up, shut-down, and lock-out sequence of all CNC equipment
Performs Finishing Operations (Quality Check)
Recognizes parts with quality issues such as: machine marks, dents, scratches, chips, material defects, etc.
Understands company quality standards based on our tolerances and quality guidelines
Performs proper safety and workplace protocols while cleaning machines and work areas
Follow correct procedures for remakes when parts do not meet quality standards
Demonstrates proper handling, storage, and disposal of finishing materials
Performs wood-processing operations
Performs machine operations
Selects proper tooling/machinery to safely and accurately perform all required processing operations within the specified tolerances on a part print
Demonstrates the knowledge of cutting speeds and feeds and applies these calculations while performing required operations to ensure quality parts
Changes tooling when it shows signs of low tool life
Correctly measures new tools and applies the correct math to the corresponding tools in the machines database
Problem solves, diagnoses, and troubleshoots effectively
Traces defects to the originating sections of their root causes, such as verifying in-field measurements against architectural drawings
Uses critical and logical thinking on a per project basis to analyze, measure, and record to improve manufacturing/installation process
Proposes a remedy, having been given the authorization to implement the process improvement
Conducts a triage level of troubleshooting and communicates findings to appropriate individual
